Examples of Projects:

Our work is diverse, and yet consistent in its objective to create landscapes of food, medicine, and beauty. All of our projects serve as pollinator and other wildlife sanctuaries. We bridge the gap between nature and human needs.

Public Library Butterfly Garden and Pollinator Sanctuary

Wilmette, IL: This garden was created with all pollinators in mind. It includes over 35 different kinds of flowering plants, almost all of which are either medicinal, native, or in many cases, both!

Sacred Mandala Garden

Rogers Park (Chicago): The foundation of this medicine wheel are six fruit trees planted to correspond with the points of a Star of David (ancient symbol of balance), or hexagon. The other half includes cedar raised beds for a veggie garden.

Apple Blossom Food and Medicine Forest

River Forest, IL: Inspired by all the five-petaled blossoms out there that often produce such delicious food and medicine, we created a garden that emulates one of nature's most beautiful designs.

Hexagon Honeybee Hive  Garden

Yachats, Oregon: Built to resemble the structure of a hive, this front yard garden is located at the Grateful Beauty Honeybee Sanctuary. Check it out: www.honeybeesanctuary.org

Backyard Medicine Wheel and Veggie Garden

Wimette, IL: Incorporating the four direction, four sacred elements, and the natural energetic flow of this backyard, we created an elegant landscape that attracts birds and beneficial pollinators, as well as produces food and medicine.

Urban Homestead

Lake View (Chicago): Deep in the urban jungle we created a landscape that's producing a bounty of food and medicine. Fruit trees, berries, herbs, perennial veggies, pollinator plants... This is a new sort of urban jungle- the green kind!

Side Yard Haven

Evanston, IL: Several clients have chosen to convert only a section of their yard into an edible and madicinal landscape, with the option of expanding in the future. Here are some examples!

Here are many more photos of landscapes we've installed, and plants that are growing therein. The amount of food and medicine now growing in these yards is staggering. May you be inspired, and enjoy!
